Tchinka

Small, quick, superstitious knot-mages with one of Dia's oldest civilizations.

World Lore

Tchinka in Dia

Tchinka are slight, greenish to yellow-cream skinned, with pointed features, long nails, often hooked noses, yellow sclera and pupils, and wild braided hair dyed to mark their work within the community.

They are brave, clever, and sociable, but culturally prone to many odd superstitions. Tchinka rarely break promises, though their metaphorical speech makes exact wording important.

Tchinka fear fire and iron, and their culture did not industrialize through heavy metalwork. Instead they became masters of magic, especially knot magic woven through hair, cords, and bindings.
