World Lore
Avqar in Dia
Avqar are naturally strong, agile, and fast. They have long limbs, short hand-claws, small fangs, yellow skin, yellow eyes, and tails that help them balance while running.
Their tribal societies can feel strange in cities. Avqar are cautious, observant, emotionally perceptive, and bound by the idea of balance: what you give is what you reap.
Each tribe has a totem beast considered ancestor and guardian. Hunting is sacred, never wasteful. At adulthood, an Avqar may face the totem in a deadly rite; surviving can make them a shapeshifter of that animal.
