Classes are the focused paths inside an archetype. They decide your signature spell rhythm, resource hooks, subclass branches, and the practical way your build grows from run to run.
What it means
A class turns an archetype into a playable plan. It gives you a root spell, a resource or rhythm, and a spell tree that pushes your combat identity toward sharper choices.
How it branches
Most class trees split into two subclass lanes. Those lanes share a root idea, but ask different questions: do you want pressure, safety, control, burst, or a stranger answer?
Choosing one
Start with the archetype fantasy, then choose the class whose root mechanic sounds like something you want to plan turns around.
