Character Identity

Archetypes

An archetype is the first answer your myth gives to danger: force, unfair advantage, emotional resonance, or the hidden rules beneath reality.

What it means

Your archetype is not just a class bucket. It is your character's mythic posture: what kind of pressure feels natural, what kind of spell answers first, and what kind of victory feels honest to you.

How it grows

Each archetype opens three class paths. Those classes sharpen the same myth into different combat questions: momentum, theft, judgment, distortion, survival, command, and more.

Choosing one

Pick the archetype whose problem-solving style sounds like yours: make the blow heavier, make the fight unfair, make feeling into force, or find the rule everyone else missed.
