A long-billed marsh bird that looks ungainly until it commits to a kill. Varkhu can weather foul water and toxic prey far better than most predators.

BeastsBeasts are usually the animals one might also meet in the real world, though some belong only to Dia's own fauna. Most are simple-minded compared with people and are often kept as domestic animals, mounts, or hunting companions.
